Purchased this DSL modem to replace the exact same modem my phone company is renting to me. I don't like to pay rent. I thought I could just plug it in and go on line. Not so I guess. I did an install with the software supplied and the last thing done was a test to see if there was an Internet response of any kind. There is none. I notice the network key of the new SE567 is different than the network key of my rented one. How do I change the network key? Can I log into the Siemens to program it to work with my ISP's system? What does the network key do anyway? Does it enable me to connect to my ISP?
Just trying to get the modem working so I can return the rented one. Help. Thanks, Ru Ko Ru Ko |
