My company has migrated to Sharepoint 2007 and i am interested in finding a
good class for MOSS 2007. I am not a developer i am strictly an administrator of the server and the sites in sharepoint and would like to learn as much as possible about the product. What company would you suggest i take training with? I am in Atlanta GA so anything local would be best. Thanks Jef |

Jeff, there is Microsoft Official Curriculum for Sharepoint 2007, as it's created to support the 70-630 MCTS certification exam. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-630.mspx You'll want to look for Instructor-led Course 5061 at any local Microsoft Certified training facility. (In Atlanta, you might start with New Horizons, though there are others, and I'm not recommending New Horizons, only mentioning them because they're a national company.) In addition, I would =recommend= the Microsoft eLearning Course 5404 prior to enrolling in the classroom training. https://www.microsoftelearning.com/e...PriceId=138242 There are three reasons I recommend this option: [1] It's signficantly less expensive ($192) than classroom training and may be all that you need to get jumpstarted with MOSS. [2] The access subscription for the 12-hour self-study course is 18 months, which makes it an excellent post-training reference. [3] It'll give you a jumpstart on the classroom training, which will allow you to take better advantage of the instructor by having some background prior to the class. In addition, you might also consider the Windows Sharepoint Services training as a first starting point, if you have no experience at all with Sharepoint. ELearning Course 5403 (https://www.microsoftelearning.com/e...PriceId=138214) -- Lawrence Garvin, M.S., MCITP, MCBMSP, MCTS(x4), MCP Senior Data Architect, APQC, Houston, Texas Microsoft MVP - Software Distribution (2005-200 MS WSUS Website: http://www.microsoft.com/wsus My Websites: http://www.onsitechsolutions.com; http://wsusinfo.onsitechsolutions.com My MVP Profile: http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pro...awrence.Garvin Lawrence Garvin [MVP] |
