I would appreicate some advice . . . I am currently a CCNA (almost CCNP) and
I would like to expand my skills into databse administration. I've grown a little weary of network support and would like to move on to something else. I've always been interested in databases and would like to start training. I like to use certification courses because they have been well thought out, with a beginning, middle and end. The structure has been determined. I do better in that kind of environment. So my question to everyone is: What is a good certification path to pursue for an aspiring DBA? Should I go the MCDBA route with SQL 2000? Should I go the MCITP route with SQL 2005? Is one more in demand than the other? Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! - John sportpilotjohn |
