As Gord Lacey at TVShowsonDVD.com points out, somebody still has to pay
the development bills before the disks can hit the shelves--
(That's one of the reasons the 2.0 episodes turned up on syndicated TV,
after all, to try and raise a little pocket change.)
With all the episode-remastering work finally finished and aired by now,
it's theoretically *possible* that Paramount's CBS-DVD division could
(literally) gamble enough cash to squeeze Season 1 out onto Blu, and use
the sales profits to fund Season 2...
Although it'd be squeezing a few pints of blood from CBS-DVD's rock,
never mind Paramount's at this point.
