Hello,

I was working on something in word and a weird looking symbol keeps
showing up to the right of my cursor. It kind of looks like a musical
note. I shutdown my system then restarted it. I even tried creating a
new word document and opened existing word documents, but they all
have the little musical type of symbol.

Does anyone know what this is and how I can get rid of it?

I looked through all of the options and can't see what is causing
this.

Turn off the "reveal codes" option. It is on the standard toobar

Make that the "Show\Hide" option in word 2003.

Would that "musical note" have actually been a paragraph symbol?
