What's the most reliable NZ-based speedtest around?

I am biased as I own it, but http://www.nzdsl.co.nz/speedtest (this is the
same as www.speedtest.net Auckland server) + there are some others linked at
the bottom of the website. It gets about a million tests from NZers per year
on it and increasing.

Thanks

Craig,
Can you collate the data from all those speed tests and keep a runnign
graph or similar of the results, by ISP, time of test, etc. One isolated
doest doesn't prove much, but a million tests would make interesting
reading...

Cheers, that's very helpful. Though I can't say I'm real impressed with
my 'full speed' connection at times...

And very useful it is too. Thanks Craig.

Consumer.org.nz also have one these days.

Consumer & nzdsl both use the ookla test meter and all tests were done
in the order above immediately following each other starting at 8.25 am.
You can see by the traceroutes below that the speedtest.net figures
look like they are due to the link between NZ and USA. There's an
immediate 120ms jump in response time. I don't know why I got such a big
discrepancy in download speed between the 2 NZ servers (Iconz and
Orcon), though there is a delay at tspn.telstraclear.net in the nzdsl
traceroute.

In addition to those linked from Craig's site there is

<http://www.woosh.com/contentclient/speedtest/speedtest.aspx>

which is listed at

<http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest?more=1>

There you can test your connection to the whole world

As to which is best or most reliable, I'm on Telstra cable in
Wellington with 4Mbs down. Ideally a test from Telstra would be of
most use because that would just test the link from them to me.

Testing just now I get:

Xtra 3209
NZ Consumer 2302
NZDSL 2315
Woosh 2288
WorldNet 3960
Actrix 4807
SPIMPS 4496

Actrix is presumably in Wgton (they warn "It is only intended for use
by Actrix customers, the results will not be meaningful for customers
of other ISP's")
SPIMPS state their test is from a server in Wgton.

Hope this helps.

Download Speed: 2818 kbps (352.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 626 kbps (78.3 KB/sec transfer rate)

I feel I should be getting a higher download rate given how much I'm
paying for supposedly full speed. Still, it's not an _awful_ result.
