I think my ups telegraphed it's intention to suck the proverbial kumara
yesterday when it started rapidly turning the output off and on, off and on,
off and on. I put my hand on it and it was really hot Well it's over 10
years old and on its second battery ... it hardly owes me anything.

Anyway, what's a good brand these days? I see Ascent lists a line called
Dynamix (NZ made?!?) that seems reasonable in its claims, APC which seems US
made and rather expensive on the whole, and Belkin that seems to make
unreasonable claims for runtime (but their 'connected gear' warranty seems very
good, not that they are likely to have to cough up), as most popular.

Can anybody make a recommendation?
