A friend rushed out and brought a HP computer and did not think that his barcode scanner is RS-232 ,
and the HP PC does not have com ports , so he needs a PCI Com's adapter card..

DSE does not list any from the search I made.

Is it still possible to get a card..?

Thanks

Misread your first email for pcmcia not pci, anyway there are pci serial
cards all over the place. My post about there being USB ones of course
is still valid.

Some of the USB <-> 9 pin serial adapters work fine, some dont, some here
might be able to recommend one. I think some of them even have DOS support.

Problem is that I can't install it, as I forgot that the PC is still under warrantee, but a local PC
shop has a similar card and can install it for $25..
