The purpose of a "DVD Player" is, tada, to play DVDs.
Region crippling circumvents the ability that the DVD Player would
otherwise have to play all DVDs. Hence Region crippling is illegal here in
NZ - because it is contrary to the Consumer Guarantees Act.
DVD Players must have the ability to play DVDs from all regions - or have
an easy method to disable the Region Crippling.
