Has everyone else been getting the spam that has the ordinary subject eg.
"scyamore" or "registered nurse" but then has an embedded gif picture with
the spam text in it?

My spam filter (CA's ETrust SCM) doesn't seem to be picking it at all - does
anyone have a rule or script or know how I can pick them out? I was thinking
maybe the size or the header perhaps....

Try looking at the source, identify the name of the gif picture and
filter on that.
