Problem:
The touch screen mechanism on a CRT touch screen is failing. I've tested
the RS-232/COM-port cable and that works fine (in addition to the
standard 15 pin VGA cable, the monitor also has a 9 pin COM port for
relaying screen depressions registered by the touch screen matrix - much
like a keyboard I guess).
The ELO touch screen software driver works fine - when the touch screen
mechanism isn't mis-behaving of course.
The CRT itself is fine - no issues on that front.

Anyone know someone in Wellington (preferrably in the Kapiti region) who
could diagnose and hopefully fix this type of issue?

Note: The screen is used in the education and development of special
needs children - it's been extremely helpful in this area.
