You obviously don't know what you are talking about and you shouldn't
go making assumptions.

I agree - I've seen a lot of crap too... lots of missed frames, pixelation
etc... some of the TV's can't handle resizing pictures on the fly?? Saw it
on a projector at a mates place the other day... it couldn't handle the hd
image coming out of the media pc and missed frames a lot while it was being
displayed. He was happy through. Couldn't believe it myself.

<Whew!> At least you've stopped counting your eyes before you write about
them now.

And I smell someone who asked for opinions and now doggedly refuses to
consider that he may be wrong.

In your very first post you said something about people clinging to their
ideas because they own one (paraphrasing but that was the gist of it).
Methinks you are guilty of a similar thing, only protecting your assertation
that all LCD TVs are crap. They say we always see in others that which we
find in ourselves. Yours seems to be obstinacy.

If you are going to attempt to refute each and every person's input why did
you ask? Or is confrontation your "style"?

And i've personally test driven the latest Sony 17" LCD (TVset) at home and
confirmed it CANNOT (as with all other LCD) give me a proper BLACK as done
so by CRT. This is a function of the backlight process even though some are
now useing LED light as opposed to flouro-mini discharge tube. I've found
Plasma to give a better black and would probably settle on one of these
but...

Nope... i like to watch a good movie and when the dark scenes arrive THEY
have to be black or they look stupid.

Yes i can definately second that .. i was just reminding myself of
that today at Bonds store ..i go into the tV area and just look
blandly at all the TV's until i can work out from the overall picture
which screen is the clearest and best for me to look at .. the TV that
my eyes settle on is consistantly not the biggest one

On cathode ray TV's i find the 21" TV's to have the most user friendly
picture (although i do realise the size issue is a real one)
And on LCD's its difficult to find an excellent picture at all , the
text and images allways seem a bit blurry , fudged or staggered in
action scenes , but again the LCD unit i settled on was not by a long
margin the largest screen .. it would have been i guess a 32" screen
width

It is a blast to get the TV out of the corner tho and for that and the
other status symbol and new technology reasons i can understand why
people purchase them ,,

they are fashionable .... oh and smaller than yer regular tele ... I
know I would love one on the wall - alas, I have not been overly
impressed with them at all ... plasmas as well. So until I like what I
am purchasing ... I'll be keeping my 2k in my pocket for awhile

Nah. Most are pretty crappy. You have to go with a higher
resolution. More expensive though.
