Just had to share this quote from<

Dr Bill Softky, who also got a patent-award prize from Microsoft even
though he never worked for them, but that's another story entirely...

The quote is: "The threshold for disproving something is higher than the
threshold for saying it, which is a recipe for the accumulation of
bullshit".

He was talking about theories of brain function, but it seems an apt summary
of USENET, don't you think.

It also explains how President Bush has avoided being impeached and
imprisoned.

That was a mistake wasn't it, you really meant to put your own name in
there not Bush.
