Yes I brought a Transcend Jet Flash 110 2 GB

Tomshardware rated it as No.1 some other web site it was listed in the top
few..

http://www.tomshardware.com/storage/20050520/index.html

But the lasted from Anandtech lists it at the bottom and stated false info
about it, like those listed below, all Yes in my case.

Lanyard Included No

USB Extension Cable Included No

Seems that you just can't trust these reviews

Gee I even did my own test to see if it met the speeds in the upper reviews.

Manufacturers aren't allowed to change the unadvertised combination of
things they package with their goods?

I don't find Toms hardware that good these days, there is far too much
sponsorship and you don't know if they are getting paid to give good
reviews.

Ive bought one of these from www.oemcomputers.co.nz a few months ago...and i
was alittle bit disappointed by it, the safety mechanism it mentioned does
not work to what i thought it would of, the usb port clicks out and locks
into place as it says it should, but when i slide it back in, it has a nasty
habbit of just randomly sliding out, again and risks getting broken, i took
it back and say said hey whats the story and he said thats how it susposed
to be :-s

As for the data/read transfer rate, it took nearly an hour to write 1GB of
data on to my usb drive.

It wouldn't be wise to upset the advertisers.

in 97 when I first hopped online, their reviews were fine... it seemed
to be ~2000 that things started going a bit pear-shaped there.

That's how I remembered it. Although from hearing others with far more
(and earlier) hardware knowledge than me talk about it - it was pretty bad
right from the start.

There just wasn't a lot to compare it to back then.

A long long time ago when I was getting a dvd player, a review of the panasonic
a350 said it had dual scarts on it, but when I bought it in NZ, it didnt. Things
like that happen. If you want to know the contents ask the place you are getting
it from, dont rely on a review from another country.
