Hi
My keyboard's looking a bit mucky, with the odd coffee/beer stains. What's
the best way of cleaning it. Dishwasher?

You'd have to dismantle it - remove the keys, which should lever off them
unscrew the plastic casing and then only wash that. There are electronics
inside which would not appreciated a washing.

Alternatively get a new one - they start from about $20....

First thing to try is wiping with a damp microfibre cloth (Mytee brand
works quite well)

I'd try a washing machine, on the "gentle" cycle of course. But seriously
folks, the last plain-vanilla keyboard I bought cost $8 and I've found that
it's easier to buy a new one that clean an old one. Handy hint: take the old
keyboard, swap two of the keys and give it to a friend. Hours of
entertainment for everybody !

All my old keyboards are Mac ones. I've always been careful never to
spill food or drink on them (after this one accident back in the early
1990s...). They do build up various accumulations of gunk both on and
in-between the keys. I find a toothpick works well for scraping a lot of
this off, without damaging anything.

A few squirts of Mr Muscle or similar and paper tissues.

You mean a good one? I got a basic keyboard for about $7 not long ago.

NEVER clean it. Just wear glooves when it gets too mucky.(if you had been
wearing glooves from day1 & a full rubber body suit you wouldnt be in this
situation now.)
Try growing bean sprouts between the keys, that way youll always have nibbles
When you get a good hard crust, drop the whole thing into your fishtank for
a 3 day fish feeder.

I always do it that way, but only because I don't have a dishwasher (
machine).

Washing circuit boards in water is perfectly acceptable and I've done it
several times before. Use warm water with a small amount of detergent in
it, then rinse several times in fresh water. Remove as much water as
possible (spinning the board around is good) then leave it to dry. If
the board has lots of small components you need to dry it using forced
air.

Use a Tooth Brush and a 1" Paint Brush, Vacuum the keyboard first..

Use one of those Foam Kitchen Cleaners Or Spayand Wipe diluted.

Just dampen the Brush with it then scrub between the keys, and I do mean just
damp..

They clean up with Damp brushes that have been cleaned in water, plus use one
of those Kitchen cleaning cloths..
