Max length of PS/2 and VGA cables

Am I likely to run into any trouble with 10m cables? I'll be using a
shielded VGA cable.

Yep, you'll probably need a signal booster.

10 metres probably Ok witbout too much loss, we use these without bosters

longer one s may need boosting

we have some 25M ones that are fine, the VGA one cost a fair bit, I
think that it needed additional shielding or somthing.

What about USB mouse and keyboard? that way you can use an active usb
cable to boost the length.

Or a wireless setup?

I thought about wireless but since we had to run a VGA cable it was no real
effort to add a couple of PS/2 cables as well.

I'm connecting to a KVM with only PS/2 connections so USB wasn't an option.

As it happens I've just come home after fitting the cables and they work
well. We're changing around the server room at work and the desk ended up
across the room from the new cabinet the servers are going in.
