Greetings all,
I have just bought a new laptop (ASUS M6000R) with XP Pro and I am surprised
to find that the following:
1) 60 gig drive (an upgrade from the 40 gig drive that came standard) has
been declared as FAT32. I thought the default for XP was NTFS (bought a
desktop with XP home about 18 months ago and the harddrive was declared as
NTFS). Does this matter (i.e. does NTFS deliver better service that FAT32)?
If so is it easy for me to convert the drive or should I get the supplier to
do this?
2) I also ordered 512 MB of memory (256 came standard) but windows reports
384. Supplier reckons that 512 is installed but 128 is taken with 'video
memory'. Can this be true?
Feedback appreciated....
Crash.
