Just upgraded from a Duron 1100 to XP2400. Seems to be running cooler
than the Duron did (it has the Zalman CNPS7000B-ALCU cooler). Sitting
at 33° at idle and 37° under load. How does that sound?

Sounds good... My XP2100+ runs at 61.5 under load and 50 at idle. Not using
anything special - perhaps I should. Or perhaps I should replace the proc on
this desktop...

You got one of these very hot Pally chips as well?

Mines doing a bit better than that though at 47 under load and 42 idle with
a volcano 9 sitting on top of it.

basic XP2400+ here runs at about 50C idle and 55 to 60C under load
(depending on room temperature)

You must have some fancy cooling there.

Excellent! My Duron 1300 broke 60 C for the first time recently. It's
about time I upgraded.

Bye,
James
