Flat panel monitor 'went black with flashing lights along the bottom'.

Sister's new PC went 'belly up'. She said the flat panel monitor
'went black with flashing lights along the bottom'. Shop she bought
it from said nothing wrong with it. Could it be a driver malfunction?

Maybe she set the video refresh rate too high for the flat panel.
Try plugging in another monitor and check the video settings

No. I believe it is running OK now.

did they test it with her CPU?

might be a lose connection that righted when she transported back to shop

is it working OK now at home?
