I think there will be large traditional ISPs that have added broadband to
their dialup portfolios that will have news servers, they will be able to
afford them by spreading the cost of maintaining them for a small number of
users across a large number of subscribers. Some will maintain backwards
compatibility with that commitment by outsourcing
There will be also be smaller customer number isps aimed at wireless
customers or business webhosting and portal business that don't want to pass
additional cost of an underutilized news server to their customers.
They all have their place.
