Anyone noticed how slow it is to get to some servers overseas this morning
4/July (or sometimes not at all) ?

I have Paradise cable here in Christchurch. Numerous websites don't even
load today. Here's a sample of them.

www.google.com
www.gigabyte.com
www.winproxy.com
http://hammorabi.blogspot.com
http://iraqthemodel.blogspot.com
http://iraq-iraqis.blogspot.com
www.creativelabs.com
www.abcnews.com
www.intel.com
www.customwire.ap.org

I can ping the names, but the pages just don't load in Firefox
and IE under Win XP Pro, nor using Mozilla under Fedora Core 1.
The problem is definately with Paradise.

Tony.

Yes, me too. Except I can't get to overseas servers at all. Paradise only.

paradise and clearnet are the same ****. What ****es me off is that unlike
orcon youll never see anything on clearnets homepage about any problems
there having. And if you ever spend half and hour calling helpdesk asking
when its going to be fixed (which I did once) all you get is some pleab
saying 'er, Im not aware of any problem).

Thank god for nz.comp...I thought it was just my new Linksys gateway playing
up some more.

C'mon Paradise, sort it out. I've emailed them in the past to do MOTD, no
reponse of course....as long as they get the $$ they don't care I guess.
