FYI Concerning D-Link DI-634M MIMO Router and DWL-G710 Wireless Extender

Just in case anyone's wondering, I found out the hard way today that
the DWL-G710 is NOT compatible with the D-Link DI-634M MIMO router...
D-Link's web site and documentation said nothing about this, but I
couldn't get a new DWL-G710 which I just bought (hoping to extend the
range of my wireless network) to work with the DI-634M. I called D-Link
to find out what I was doing wrong, and it turns out I did everything
right; the two products simply are not compatible with each other,
according to the D-Link tech support guy. He also indicated that NO
existing 802.11g extender product will work with the DI-634M.

I couldn't find any info about this incompatibility on the net
anywhere, so I'm posting it here in the hopes that anyone in a similar
situation will find out about this issue before they waste a couple of
trips to their local computer hardware retailer.
