USB Cable query

My understanding is that a very easy way to transfer data between two PCs
both using XP and having USB2 ports is to use a special USB to USB cable
that contains some special electronics in a "thingy" in the middle of the
cable.
If I am correct, can anyone tell me whether it is available for USB2 thus
enabling maximum speed possible by this method.
It would be even nicer if there was a URL of a NZ site offering such a
device.
I am presently using a 128 meg "RamPen" keyring type device for the purpose.
TIA

Read it.
Purchased it.
Used it.
Delighted.
Thanks very much for the heads up.
