Jenlogix (
http://www.jenlogix.co.nz/) are local suppliers of industrial
PC's and will almost certainly have what you need. Unfortunately, in
common with other industrial PC suppliers they don't like publishing
their prices and tend to be kinda ludicrously expensive when you do
finally suss how much these things cost.
A better plan may be Earth LCD (
http://www.earthlcd.com/) who aren't NZ
based, and have a bit of a specialisation with picking up left overs
from large production runs and are quite cheap by "industrial computing"
standards. Still horribly expensive.
There were also some attempts at making things that detected touch on a
piece of glass by monitoring the stresses at the corner. Much cheaper,
and I believe a local company is good at these (they make the Vodafone
demonstration terminals) but I can't remember what they are called. Sorry.
It might be cheaper just to embed a laptop in your coffee table.
Failing that, you can script mac to be controlled with a bluetooth phone:
