yes, so I have heard
I have been using the shareware version, 'Live in Partner', for a couple of
years now, and thought that I should do the right thing, and complete the
upgrade... sofar so good, although I still have to go through the day long
activation process, that I have heard can be very expensive, and drags on
and on, but then you get to try all the new features that night, so thats
all good

Can you get an extended warranty, as the CGA doesn't cover this item?

But you pay big time if you want to upgrade to a different model.

$HINT: You can make ducting using ordinary laser paper. It's stiff enough
to do the job. Light cardboard is better (the kind you print with,
warehouse stationary sell it in packs of ~100 sheets for about $

It's also a really good idea for all fans except the PSU one to be
pointing _into_ the case. If there's a vaccuum effect, you'll end up
pulling dust into the floppy(*) and CD drives. This contributes to early
demise.

Likewise, for dust issues, DO NOT put a computer on the floor, ESPECIALLY
NOT under a desk - every time you put your feet under there you're
stirring up dust for the thing to eventuqally choke on.

(*) I once pulled open a floppy drive off a macintosh owned by a regular
poster to this group(**) who smoked in front of his machine. It was
completely and utterly clogged with microfine ash from the smoke which had
been vaccuumed in the open drive door (Older macs didn't have flaps on the
drives).

(**) he hasn't posted here since 1996 or so.

The best hosing to use comes from the pet shop too, and quick release
connectors can be bought at your local plumbing world or at a BOC gas
supply outfit.

The hosing is the same in both cases, it's just sized by inside
diameter(4mm) or outside diameter(6mm) depending whether it's for gas or
water - heavier (less flexible) tubing also sold for Nylex and similar
microirrigation systems at your local garden supply outfit and the Nylex
screw-together things work relatively well as jointers, at cost of less
flexibility.

Header/drain tanks can be made out of 600ml coke bottles.

I'm thinking about an oil cooled block at the moment instead of water.

It's actually pretty simple to make yourself.

Hardest part is the copper block for the cpu, but they sell them
seperately.

The rest comes from the wreckers and your local pet shop (fish tank
pump).

All variants are pretty good, until they start spawning child processes. A
lot can change after that.
