JetDirect Cards and cross over cables

Hi
Ive just got an HP laserjet4 with jet direct.
I picked up a Cat6 cross over cable from dick smith.
Ive set up IP and subnet mask but no go yet.
They should work over a cross over cable should they not?

XP Pro at the other end

Encore have another 100 Laser 4's in their warehouse...

shesh, you sould have seen all the monitors they have!

Easiest way in XP is to download the HP jetdirect installer, lets you
tell it what IP to look for & then installs the port.
