Yupp. Don't publish it anywhere and you will be petty safe.
My main email address that I conduct personal and business correspondence
from has received 5 spams in as many years (four of them last week all in
one go).
We have two other private email addresses in this household that never
receive spam at all because they are not published on any web pages and
are not used for usenet postings.

For publishing I use another email address i.e. the one here; every time
I use it a flood of spam arrives in that mailbox even with munged address
<sigh>.

No guarantee unfortunately, my home address has only been used for email
to family, but I am now egtting daily spams for porn sites.

Believe it or not: but that one slipped right past me. I think I entered
it once in the belief it would help s.o. reply to me via email and forgot
to take it out again.

Thanks for pointing it out <slaps forehead in exasperation>
