070-300 was my last examination for MCSD. I faced the following system
problem ( System get hanged in between and probably my answers were reset when the exam center superviser did something to get back the systemon track) while appearing. If any body had earlier faced such problem, please let me know? Who should be right person to be contacted to resolve such kind of problem and disputes? I was appearing for this exam from a prometric exam center in Tokyo, Japan. I was supposed to answer to a total of 36 question in 150 minutes. There were 3 sections. In the first section there were around 13/14 questions to be answered in 45 minutes or so. After ansering all the question I reviewed all my answers without making any change. I was in the review summary list screen while the max time alloted elapsed. A pop up warning message came saying more like "your answering time has been over !!!". Then the system get hanged. I call for the center superviser for help. They came and did something to get the system in track. Then I was in the second section having 9 questions of max time 30 minutes. I asked them if my previous section of ansers have been properly submitted, I did not get an assurance from them. Any wasy as time timer for the second section was going on I chose to go for the second set of questions. There was no problem then onwards and the Third section was also fine. At the end of the answering , I was looking for the comment about the first section of 14 question.I did not get those. So when I pressed the end button finally I was greeted with a failure message scoring 636 Where I was expecting a score of more than 900. At the end of session I had wrote my complain in a supplied specified formatted paper from that prometric exam center. I also wrote an e- mail to the regional MCP support center at Japan about this. I am waiting for a reply from them. Also can anybody who have appeared this 070-300 paper can confirm the following-In every section, the acutal question you get to answer starts from 3 rather than 1 (Top right hand screen). For the first two sequence number 1 and 2 , you get the description about the case studies. When you press next button repeatedly, when you wiill get your first question and at that time the screen on the top will be indicating the number as 3. Earlier I had appeared four papers ( 070-315, 070-316, 070-320 and 070-229), I did not faced any such problem. Thanks in advance for your reply. Regards, Deepak =?Utf-8?B?RGVlcGFrIE1vaGFudGE=?= |

i just failed 70-300 with VUE testing centre (in United Kingdom). i have
taken a total of 4 previous exams (full MCAD + 70-229 elective for MCSD). all passed and no errors with the client computer i used. until now! I had a very similar experience to yours. my system crashed during the first section with some standard unhandled (haha!) Win32 errors, then it bombed out. the one other user in the room had the same thing happen. the staff rebooted and restarted my exam for me, which seemed to carry on where i'd left off (except the order of the possible answers had changed around!). at the end, i noticed that i didn't get the same chance to comment/review as i did on the next sections. i don't remember anything odd about the numbering of the questions like you described, but i didn't take much notice really. i will next time! the exam is certainly very different from the other exams. the ability to be able to print-out the case studies to enable one to read/refer/highlight would be welcomed. surely this is what you'd do if it were 'real life'. the fiddly interface and mice that never have their mouse-wheel enabled are purely a hinderence to the overall process, imho. augment this with the way "microsoft's way" of doing things is what's required, rather than the "technically correct" and add to that w/ the system crashing and not being able to easily refer to how much time you have left PER QUESTION ...you've got yourself a very low chance of getting a good pass mark i feel. some say 70-300 is the hardest. i think it depends on your experience --not just amount of, but also type of. at least i registered for the 2nd chance free offer mark Mark |

Hello,
I've just passed the exam (86 courses from Netg (and they did not cover quite a lot) and practice test from MeasureUp. I failed every second question in practice test so I had to read explanation why was I wrong. But this greatly improved my undertanding of the topic. Lucky me for getting this practice test in their newsletter lottery Wish you good luck with the second try. Regards, Alexey Alexey Peshekhonov |

I have taken 18 Microsoft exams so far and I have seen this problem a couple
of times when the test application crashed but I have never lost anything. This inlcudes the 71-300 (beta exam for 70-300) when the software crashed two times. -- Mehran Nikoo "Deepak Mohanta" wrote: > 070-300 was my last examination for MCSD.
