Ok then how about. They Might be Giants

The 80's had hard rock, hair rock, good R&B some pretty good post 70s ska
and punk. It was post Disco and pre popular alternative. Hell we didn't even
have a name for alternative music.

Universe Man, Universe Man, size of the entire Universe Man.

Istanbul was constantinople now it's istanbul not constantinople so if
you've a date in constantinople she'll be waiting in istanbul.

Someone earlier claimed that the 80s sucked, and I agree, but only because
the 50s sucked, the 70s sucked, the 90s sucked, and the 00s suck.

With the exception of the 40s, the 60s, the medieval period, and the old
west, Time itself sucks, and I want a refund for my ticket to the human
theme park. This ride makes me want to throw up.

I'm not going to totally disagree with you. There were some exceptions, but
for the most part, the 80's really sucked (at least for a teen in that era).

I was so disappointed with the music that was being shelled out by all those
crappy record execs. Although I listened to it then, I realized only a few
years after....like 1992...just how crappy the music was.....Sure there were the
Exceptions...Metallica, Van Halen (pre Hagar), Megadeth, just to name a few. But
for the most part, the rest of the music was crap...Poison, Ratt, Stryper, Quiet
Riot, Skid Row, sure they made it big, but that doesn't mean they put out good
music.

The cars.....how many cars from the 1980s do you still see on the road (that are
still in good to great condition) with the exception of the Corvette just about
all of them are extinct. The cars from the 80's served one main purpose...to be
demolitioned in movies and monster truck shows.

The clothes/styles.....HAHAHAHH....Parachute Pants, Head Bands, tight shirts,
tight pants, sliced up clothing, Day-glo clothing, Spandex, leggings,
Asymmetrical haircuts....all crap! Of course there were the exceptions...Vans
and Levis 501s. But for the most part....it too was a crap industry.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam.
Why they changed it I can't say.
People just liked it better that way.............
