In it's simplest form, MCSE is 7 testing requirements. Each test requires a
testing fee ($125 in the US) and 2 to 3 hours of your time to complete. If
your experience is such, you could knock it off in probably 2 to 3 days at a
testing center. An existing CompTIA Security+ certification may be used to
substitiute for one of the tests.

For most people however, the amount of experience you have in each area
varies, and some amount of reading, studying, testing, etc is necessary
before they feel comfortable enough to take each test.

Personally, it took me anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months for each test.
Obviously, on the areas where I had lots of experience, it only took me a
few days to realize that I could do the test. For areas where I had less
experience, I had to come up to speed, and that takes time. Overall, I
earned several different certifications, including MCSE. I took and passed
10 tests, and spent a total of about 20 months on the effort. (Note, this
was not 20 man months, this was all done on personal time while working full
time in the field, and supporting my family, and living my life).

Nobody here can tell you if you are ready to take any of the tests or not.
That is something that you will have to decide.

You can find the requirements for MCSE here...

Good luck to you.
