Default WPA DHCP problem leads to PSched UpperBind Question

DHCP would not work reliably from my laptop to a router. The command "netsh
int ip reset resetlog.txt" seems to fix it by replacing the "PSched" protocol
in the UpperBind value of the Linkage Registry key for the wireless card with
the list "NM AegisP MDC8021X Ndisuio RasPppoe Tcpip". It did this for
several devices including the LAN card.

If this reset action is correct, what changed all of them to "PSched"?
Should "PSched" be added to the replacement list?
Is this list a shotgun approach? Are all these protocols necessary for
every device?
What information is available to assist the user?
