Several months ago something started popping up in my tray icon area on my
Windows XP called AC3Filter. It seems to be something to do with Media
Player and some Codec package I downloaded. But the damn thing seems to be
something I can't get rid of without removing possible codec files that may
screw up my Media Player. I've tried to find any answers online to removing,
but nothing! It's even got its own icon in my Control Panel now and the damn
thing pops up on every website with embeded music or any file I open in
Media Player 10!
Is it safe? Can it be removed easily? I think it's making things slow down
on my system when I open or play media.
