Hello all, I work in the IT dept. of an organization that does not use
wireless internally. Even though we do not use wireless internally we still
would like to allow our users to use wireless externally, like in
hotels/airports etc. Most of our laptops either come with built in wirelss
cards or we have Netgear PCMCIA cards. I want to know how to "lock down" the
wireless functionailty on each users laptop. For example, i want to make it
so that ad-hoc is not available for the user to select. Or, i want to make it
so that the wireless card does not scan for networks constantly.
Is there something that can be done or used to accomplish what i am trying
to do? I was thinking maybe some registry settings but i cannot find anything
any suggestions would help.
