Windows XP Pro SP2 deleting applications

I deleted some of the games that MS supplies with its os. That's when it
started to happen. Now I can't maintain them (Spades, Checkers, etc.) as
well as maintain IE6 or 7, and even Outlook Express. I have to reinstall
them in order to use them for a period until they get deleted by the os. :/
