You can't get an MCPD without first getting an MCTS.
The MCTS consists of:
- for Web: 70-528 and 70-536
- for Windows: 70-526 and 70-536
- for Enterprise: 70-529 and 70-536
The MCPD consists of:
- for Web: 70-528, 70-536, and 70-547
- for Windows: 70-526, 70-536, and 70-548
- for Enterprise: 70-526, 70-528, 70-529, 70-536, and 70-549
I would recommend taking the 70-536 exam first, if you are not sure of what
specialization you want. However, the 70-536 by itself will not give you a
certification, whereas taking the 70-52x exam will make you a Microsoft
Certified Professional.
Best wishes in your certification studies.
