I noticed this big display in an Asda store today

Nice to see VoIP going mainstream, I thought, even if its only Skype.
But take a close look at those rates.

Presumably the same person who thought "how do i use it?"
was acceptable English quoted figures in pounds per minute as pence per
minute,
and thought nothing of it.

Is this one for the ASA, or am I becoming too pedantic in my old age?

Definately one for advertising standards I's say.
It's clearly stating pence per minute which they should be held
accountable for.

If a supermarket can't spot such an obvious error in pricing how do they
expect to price foods up correctly?

I found the advertising Standards very quick to respond to reports of
misleading advertising.

The ASA *might* be interested - I don't know. Taking what is written, it
*appears* that the rate is 0.014 ppm - except that the BT rate is stated as
0.03ppm. So, whilst technically wrong, it could probably be argued that the
man on the Clapham Omnibus would realise that it's actually stated in
pounds, and that it's actually 1.4 and 3.0 ppm respectively.
