Browsers quit, now this...

Initially Firefox just quit reaching the net... actually quit reaching the DNS server. I am almost certain it is getting blocked going out, yet when I check permissions in Norton it is enabled on all ports/general. Next (that same evening) Netscape had the same failure. This was followed by IE. Mozilla, however, still works. Not Mozilla Firefox - Mozilla, which has a different build.

Then last night SecureCRT took a hike. Same thing. It simply is not getting out of this desktop, I use shell accounts for my email. TeraTerm still works with both telnet and SSH.

I ran Hitman Pro 2 which calls in every scanner known to geekdom and that resolved nothing. Got rid of a couple of Zed trackers is all.

I will be glad to send my Hijack This log if that will help. It will be late this evening before I can check back.
