I have asked on a number of occasions about automatic updates, but never
found an answer that works.

The problem is that I have the yellow shield with an exclamation mark in my
system tray saying "Updates are ready to be installed to your computer" I
have tried on numerous ocassions to install but they wont. There are about
76 of them ready.
I have tried installing while computer is on and when I log off they try to
install before shutdown, but they just wont.

Anyone with any ideas as to how i can either install or get rid of this
task? If anyone does can they explain in laymans terms giving me a possible
step by step rundown.

I appreciate any help whatsoever.

Thanks

Mr. B.

Install them individually or a few at a time starting with the oldest
ones. I believe you can right click on the icon and then chose to
chose which ones you want to install. Not having the icon in front of
me has me doing this from memory.
Clean up your system BEFORE you start. Use a registry and HD cleaner
(I use Fix It Utilities) and then defrag. Reboot and then do your
updates.

Use my fix tool. After running it you will have to re-download all MS
updates. Click continue when prompted until the program ends after about 1
minute. http://www.pcbutts1.com/downloads/asvchostsfixr.zip

Never download items from a Porn Hosting site, there is always a better
place to download them.

The site pcbutts1.com hosts porn and exposes kids to it.

Leythos - (remove 999 to email me)

Fight exposing kids to porn, complain about sites like PCBUTTS1.COM that
create filth and put it on the web for any kid to see: Just take a look
at some of the FILTH he's created and put on his website:
http://forums.speedguide.net/archive.../t-223485.html all exposed
to children (the link I've include does not directly display his filth).
You can find the same information by googling for 'PCBUTTS1' and
'exposed to kids'.

It depends on the source. If they're from microsoft, yes. Otherwise
generally no. A *lot* of software gets the latest version of such when
you do this - even beta or worse. A lot of the time you end up with
non-working version, when what you have worked fine.
