Well, EMI was the first to make it happen, but Apple is supposed to
have had a lot of cooperation from smaller labels, and reports interest
from some other majors, too.

I haven't bought anything of those higher bitrates yet.

I collect DeDRM programs, just in case I have a need.

I have this one listed as a DRM remover for iTunes

Thanks for the detailed info.
I haven't actually converted any tracks yet but have now set importing
to MP3, 256kbps, VBR, Normal Stereo.
At least I know I already have it set up correctly should I wish to
convert.
Thanks agin.

Yes darlin' I know the difference between USENET and The internet...

But I have to admit that for my A.D.D. I have no patience for some of
the rather complex faq sheets out there... (my fault but w/e... not
everyone was born with a 200+ IQ like you so sue me...)

But from what I have gathered, it seems as though the amount of time
bothered creating an album out of binary posts seems more trouble than
just DLing from a service, which is why I just used itunes, but live and
learn (and I won't be using itunes again!). The great thing about
emusic.com in case anyone else is searching any Chris & Cosey/CTI is
they have their entire catalog (except for a few tidbits like the ones I
got on itunes, but then those were Mortal Loom feat CnC)

It's only 134.

I don't know what's more annoying, natural ignorance of a
seemingly intelligent person, or that person insisting on
continuing to wallow in that extreme ignorance. The paragraph
above confirms your total cluelessness.

Whatever, darling. It's your life.

I know what's more annoying.

People that make fun of those less intelligent than they are.

First of all, I'm not making fun of you, nor do I know who is
more intelligent. (134 is not that high. Besides IQ is not
really all that reliable a measure of anything. I happen to be a
total failure in life.) So I am not making fun of you, I am just
pointing out an infinitely superior way of getting quality music
rips by people who care about music vs. being abusively
manipulated by greedy and deceptive multi-nationals.

Also, people making fun may or may not be annoying depending on
the stupidity factor of the "fun-making". Stupidity itself is
the real evil.

Well, laziness is a bit of problem sometimes, too. (Now I AM
making fun of you.)

You bet.
I hope some others read some of that.

One last thing, though; iTunes supports plug-ins.
So if you are a real audiophile with a particular affection for a
high-end codec, you may be able to add that, and use it to rip.
