Firefox problems?

Every once and a while Firefox will pull up an "Unable to connect" screen.
I try numerous pages, but still "Unable....". If I open up IE, it will
work. I can ping the sites.

If I close Firefox down and then start a new instance, I am back in
business.

Any ideas?
