You said, paraphrasing, 'without any entry in (your mua's) BCC.' That
is stupid and demonstrates your lack of understanding.

The term is BCC and yes it is that you don't know BCC implications as
demonstrated by what you said and by what you keep saying.

What I mean is -- that has been explained to you in about 7 or 9
different ways.

You are saying the same stupid and incomprehensible thing over and over
again.

> Got it?

Absolutely not. I'm wasting time talking to a googlegrouper who isn't
capable of reading what has been written and who isn't capable of
'restating' what he is trying to say in a more comprehensible fashion
and who then after numerous separate attempts to emphasize what they are
saying by saying the same thing over and again but saying it no better
has the audacity to say 'Got it?' when in fact it is the googlegrouper
who hasn't 'Got it' yet.

His datestamps have an offset of -0000 (GMT). Yet his IP address
shows he is somewhere around India. Looks like he needs to set his
timezone.

It's a googlegrouper. All GG Date/NPH lines are stamped by the GG
interface because they are typing with a browser, not an nntp
newsreader. S/He can't 'fix' hir clock as regards the timestamps. You
can't see any evidence of maneurapture's computer's clock settings.

And to me, 'fix your clock' when said to someone who appears to be
stamping their Date line incorrectly because of an error in their
computer's time setting means the same thing/ includes/ 'set your
timezone' correctly -- because that is ususally what is wrong in those
Date/NPH discrepancies.

But not this time.

And yet I see posts from other Google Groupers that *do* show an
offset, as in "Date: Thu, 23 Aug 2007 16:36:15 -0700". I didn't say
where the OP has to set his timezone. Since he is posting through
Google Groups, *that* is where he has to set his timezone. One of the
account settings is the user's timezone.

The OP should go to his Google Groups account, go to My Account, and
edit his Personal Information where he can then set his timezone. It
is an optional setting and probably why he didn't bother to configure
that setting after creating a Google account.

I think that some googlegroups servers are on the west coast, such as
google hq and such and stamp with the local timezone offset of the
google server.

I have posted to GG and I didn't do anything about setting a timezone.
My GG 'profile' is empty. It doesn't have a timezone.

You are correct that there is such a setting in My account, but I
seriously doubt if any/many GGers configure it.

If I were looking at a GGer Date/NPH lines, I would assume that it was
not configured and that the offset represented the offset of the GG
server.

You will realise that there is knowledge beyond what you know. What is
incomprehensible to you is not the same for who know. There has to be
a convincing answer to what I have asked. Your comments about my
capability to understand cannot block my quest to find an answer. If
you felt like wasting your precious time, why on earth did you post
your response in so many words? Thanks

There is more than one answer but it's not Outlook or Outlook Express.
Two of them are out-and-out spamware packages.
