I have this problem.

I'm trying to connect distinct vlans. I have 2 switch cisco 2950 and 1 Multilayer switch 3550, where I connect the 2 2950's, with cross over cables.

in the first 2950 I have configured VLAN 1 and VLAN 2 and VLAN 3, they're connected to the MLS 3550 with a cross over cable, between gigabiethernet0/1 of the 2950 to fastethernet0/1 of the MLS.

The other 2950, I have VLAN 2 and VLAN 3 also and it's connected to the MLS from gigabiethernet0/1 to fastethernet0/2.

The fastethernet ports on the 3550 are configured as switchport mode trunk, but I don't if it's ok, because I can not ping between the vlans. I have to configure layer 3 interfaces but I don't understant how.

Please help.
