Hi. So, I thought I was computer savvy but I am stuck on this one. My friend's laptop could not boot Windows XP, so I said I would fix it. I have a 2.5" IDE HD adapter and hook up his HD to my PC. I formatted the hard drive and installed Windows XP SP2, from my computer. The reason I did this was because his laptop does not allow me to boot from anything but the Hard Drive or NIC card. So it is successfully installed and can run on my PC but when I swap it out to his laptop I get a blue screen of death and then just reboots. I'm assuming this has to do with the devices installed, however if i reconnect this to my PC and uninstall all drivers and allow the new laptop to recognize these, will this remove them from my PC that is running XP as well? Or what is the best approach to the dilemma I have. Any help would be great.
