Default Non-adminstrative access to WUS

I have a security officer that is constantly asking me for reports from MBSA
and WUS so he can make sure I have installed patches in a timely manner. Is
there any way I can allow him to run MBSA and access WUS without making him a
local admin. I thought about scripting using the RUNAS command, but I'm not
that good at scripting.

I donut understand.

What do the Mean Boy Scouts of America and the Women Using Stun-guns have to
do with installing patches? Oh, wait, I get it. The Women are sewing
patches on the Scouts' uniforms.

My bust for thinking there might be someone helpful out there. I'll try
another source.

bad idea unless you have a tool to encrypt the vbs into a vbe (or the java
equivalent).

What does your bust have to do with it?

Geeze, I come to this place to learn and people will just not answer any of
my questions.

from http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;305385

Q: What permissions do I need to run MBSA against remote computers?
A: You must have administrative credentials on every computer that you
scan.

so, you will have to run them for him or write a script or upgrade to SMS
and then grant him the permission to read reports.

- That's fine in practice, but it'll never work in theory.

You come to this place to be a smart ass. I've looked other responses from
you and you never give a straight answer. Pasting a web site here and there
can't be that tough. If you can answer the question do it, otherwise shut
the F___ up.

bitter much? why not look it up yourself or try a group more appropriate,
like security or scripting instead of lashing out. But if you can't here's
a nickle, buy a personality.
