Hi,
I'm sure the answer will be no but I just want to make sure. I'm upgrading from mcse 2000 to 2003. The upgrade path is only 2 exams as you know (70-292 and 70-296). I've passed 70-292 and failed 70-296. Instead of retaking exam 70-296, can I pass the 2 core exams that it is representing and still have my mcse 2003? If not, my guess would be that I would have to pass all 4 core exams even if I passed 70-292? (of course I will not go there, I'll just retake 70-296) Since PKI, smart cards and clusters are my weak points, I think it will be better for me if I go through 2 different exams instead of one incorporating 2. Thanks =?Utf-8?B?U2xlYg==?= |

I have known a few people that have done just the reverse, splitting 292.
If you look in your certification planner you will see what is required. -- Bob Christian II MVP - LCS http://bobchristian.blogspot.com - Blog "Sleb" <> wrote in message news:38CDD09D-39AC-4EE7-B212-... > Hi, > > I'm sure the answer will be no but I just want to make sure. Bob,
Thanks for your VERY FAST answer. But I'm not sure to fully understand it. I don't understand where or what is the certification planner you are talking about. I don't see anything regarding splitting 70-296 on the microsoft web site and can't seem to find the information to make sure I can do this and which 2 exams I need to pass. Can you tell me where I can find these informations? Thanks in advance "Bob Christian" wrote: > I have known a few people that have done just the reverse, splitting 292. > If you look in your certification planner you will see what is required. > > -- > Bob Christian II > MVP - LCS > http://bobchristian.blogspot.com - Blog > > > > "Sleb" <> wrote in message > news:38CDD09D-39AC-4EE7-B212-... > > Hi, > > > > I'm sure the answer will be no but I just want to make sure. Bob,
Just found out the answer on another discussion group ; It's 70-293 and 70-294. Tom Helms (MSFT) answered that the splitting of this exam can be done. Thanks "Bob Christian" wrote: > I have known a few people that have done just the reverse, splitting 292. What you want to do is entirely possible...so, yes, it can be done.
The certification planner is at www.microsoft.com/learning Log into the MCP site. http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcpmembersite.asp Select View My...
