Not excluding myself, I'm an msce also fallen to the dark side
But maybe we can find 'the next wave' to ride? Perhaps biotechnology, after all these new companies setting up with patents on genes are going to have to cash in one day. Serious thoughts would be good, I know this forum attracts sarcasm way to easy! =?Utf-8?B?R2VuZXNpcw==?= |

Ultimately, we've all got to find ways to make ends meet, or life will end.
The notion of 'the good life', wherein one goes to college, gets a good job, a good wife, and has good kids, doesn't seem to be a feasible reality. How one would get into the biotechnology 'wave', if there is to be one, I couldn't even begin to tell you. Computer/Network Admin is not a wave, computers are not a fade, it is how the world will conduct business, science, and government from now on into the future, nuclear apocalypse not withstanding. > Perhaps biotechnology, after all these new companies setting > up with patents on genes are going to have to cash in one day. How would we jump on that wagon? I took biology in college but not enough to start splicing genes. I think you need a Ph.D. to do that. > Serious thoughts would be good, Seriously. > I know this forum attracts sarcasm way to easy! Breeds, not attracts. kp "h.D" g kpg |

Why isn't the 'good life' a realality?
I took comptuer systems tech, got a crappy help desk job, worked there for a few months, then got a better IT job doing support for ISA, Exchange, Windows 2003, etc. Since then have continued my education and gotten MCSE, A+, and N+. Got a nice raise upon getting my MCSE Car, and house. Now I've sent my resume out to a couple places, and it looks like I may be getting an even better job soon Why not just stick with IT and work at it? Or I suppose give it up and leave more jobs open for me "Microcephalic S.
