The passing score for the Windows Server 2008 exams will be... wait for
it... 700. However the final criteria (how many questions you need to answer right to score 700) will not be established until the beta process is complete and the exam has been reviewed. Good luck. Montreal is right here. The exam is scored and passed on the same basis as
the released exams, its just that the target that the number is attached to is mobile, based on what questions and so forth are scored and count towards your score. Study and prepare as you would any other exam. In real life, the only thing change is you need to look deeper for technet material and build a lab rather than books and prep guides and e-training that some rely on for released exams. Also note that the exam is much longer to take. Instead of facing a small subset of the availible questions, you face a much larger set to examine and answer and provide feedback on. Take advantage of the comment feature during the exam. If a question is not clear or the answer differentiation seems questionable to you, etc, use the comment function to highlight this fact to the exam team. This is the kind of feedback they really need.
