Hi everyone,
I'm getting a bit confused about upgrading options. Say, I have MCSA2000:Security (210-215-218-214-Security+) Ultimate goal is to get MCSE2003:Security Now, from what I understood, I cannot get MCSE2000:Security upgraded to MCSE2003:Secuirty. So the path of MCSA2000:Sec -> MCSE2000:Sec -> MCSE2003:Sec doesn't work, right? But then I can upgrade MCSA2000:Security to MCSA2003 MCSA2003:Security, is there?) Can I then go for MCSE2003:Security with my _upgraded_ MCSA2003? Plus use Security+ at the very end to get :Security spec? If anyone could clarify that, it would be greatly appreciated =?Utf-8?B?QW1hbiBCLg==?= |

Plus > use Security+ at the very end to get :Security spec? > > If anyone could clarify that, it would be greatly appreciated from the bottom of http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc...server2003.asp and http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc...server2003.asp "2 Candidates who hold MCSA or MCSE on Windows 2000 credentials may take Exam 70-292 in place of Exams 70-290 and 70-291. In addition, candidates who hold an MCSE on Windows 2000 credential may take Exam 70-296 in place of Exams 70-293 and 70-294. " so for the MCSA 2003:Sec you would then need 70-299 and if you haven't taken it the ISA or Sec+ exam after taking the 70-292 exam. You could then theoretically finish the MCSE 2000 and write both the 70-296 exam and the 70-298 exam giving you MCSE on 2000 and 2003, MCSA on 2000 (which you have) and 2003, MCSA:Sec on 2000 (which you have) and 2003 and MCSE:Sec on 2003 (only). spend a bit of time in www.microsoft.com/learning and most of this pops up. you could also have a look at the certification planner in the MCP private web site. (and yes there is an MCSA:Sec 2003) -- Neil MCNGP#30 - My other computer is a VAX. Neil |
