To add to that, use the same header format on your cover-letters,
references, and any other communications you use between you and a
prospective company.

I don't necessarily believe in minimizing the white space or extending
the margins. Learn to be more concise and don't put anything on the
resume that doesn't relate to what you are going for. Use tables instead
of lines (obviously don't print the gridlines for your tables <eg>). Two
pages should be the max. Also, you don't have to put dates related to
education.

If you like, I can send you a copy of my resume. When I was layed off
from my previous position part of my severence was a contract with a firm
that teaches people how to search for work. They had classes on
interviewing, resumes, self-marketing, etc. that really helped. I'm
getting calls and interviews so it must be ok. <g>

If that's on your resume, it explains all the calls.

Just an update....

http://www.roblindman.com/resume_html3.php - still work in progress

goals here:
0. get it down to one page.
1. nail down the objective.
2. improve the verbage for all job positions
3. further examine provided input and look for ways to optimize / improve
4. remove lines and figure out a better way to visually represent
separations

I'm sure you all have things to do this weekend, but I'll keep posting
anyway.

Thanks again for your input.
