any recommendations for hands-on training companies for mcse on 2003? I
currently work as a programmer/analyst and am interested in possibly working towards the mcse. since my area of expertise is currently not the areas covered in mcse I think I would require hands-on training rather than just the normal test preps from a book. so far I've come across fasttrain.com, techskills.com, and lasallecomputer.com that offer mcse training in the tampa area. any comment on these training centers or recommendations on others would be much appreciated. =?Utf-8?B?ZHNhMTk3MQ==?= |

This will not answer your question...but may help you with your decision:
Would you be offended if someone said save your $9,000 and buy a few computers, a VMWare Workstation license, and the MSPress books, and maybe the CBT Nuggets? If not... Save your $9,000 and buy a few computers, a VMWare Workstation license, and the MSPress books, and maybe the CBT Nuggets. Don't forget to ask yourself... Why do you want to become an MCSE? In all seriousness, a clasroom delivered course is good for some of the more difficult topics, such as Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL. However, building and rebuilding a VMWare lab is a great learning experience. If someone else is paying for the certification, then definitely take the time off and give it all ya got... I have thought about possibly starting out studying for exam 70-290 on my own
using the MSPress books and maybe some videos and see how I do with that. Just make sure you have a small lab to work with and do as many of the
excersises as possible. Also depending on your skill level start with the OS exam (270) first to work up to the higher level ones. This way you build your knowledge and confidence -- Techie MCNGP # 21 http://www.mcngp.com/ "dsa1971" <> wrote in message news:396A898D-07EE-4D1F-90B5-... >I have thought about possibly starting out studying for exam 70-290 on my >own > using the MSPress books and maybe some videos and see how I do with that. > > "Bob Christian" wrote: > >> This will not answer your question...but may help you with your decision: >> Would you be offended if someone said save your $9,000 and buy a few >> computers, a VMWare Workstation license, and the MSPress books, and maybe >> the CBT Nuggets? >> If not... >> Save your $9,000 and buy a few computers, a VMWare Workstation license, >> and >> the MSPress books, and maybe the CBT Nuggets. >> >> Don't forget to ask yourself... >> Why do you want to become an MCSE? >> In all seriousness, a clasroom delivered course is good for some of the >> more >> difficult topics, such as Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL. i'm going to TECHSKILLS in Nevada. it's good cause of all the little perks,
and all the equipment that your supplied with. With the books that you get and the great help you can get from these newsgroups you should be on your way to mcse in no time "Ben Smith" <> wrote in message news: om... > In article <566FE6FA-DB8C-4719-850F->, dsa1971 > @discussions.microsoft.com says... >> any recommendations for hands-on training companies for mcse on 2003? Stay away from FastTrain, they are in Tampa and Clearwater, the place sucks
it's all about money and not learning, their instructors lack of real world experience. loopback MCSA, Network+, A+ "dsa1971" <> wrote in message news:566FE6FA-DB8C-4719-850F-... > any recommendations for hands-on training companies for mcse on 2003?
